This service work is designed to engage newcomers and Allandale members with at least a year of sobriety. We encourage newcomers to call people, this gives that activity purpose. This can be done by many newcomers at the same time.
Each month a newcomer with the approval by their sponsor will be given a list of existing members of the same gender, to call on or before their yearly sobriety anniversary. The goal is a live connection / conversation to discuss what it was like, what happened, and what things are like now.
Ideally the newcomer will connect for a 2-10 minute call. If they do not get a connection the newcomer should leave a message and a text that they are wishing the member a “happy anniversary” (anonymity on voicemail is a requirement). The newcomer must try to set a time for a conversation, not just leave a message. The member should text them back with a time for a call.
The month-by-month list is protected by the admin@allandalegroup.org There is no internet access to the whole list. Each newcomer must authenticate to the administrator before gaining access. It is possible to copy and paste individual numbers to a phone if the newcomer has access to the sheet. This process will limit the exposure of the list but still make it convenient to work the list. If people want the full list it is ONLY available in print at a face-to-face meeting. The administrator will not give the whole list to anyone.
The process for doing the service work
The newcomer will email admin@allandalegroup.org and CC their sponsor requesting the service work. If the newcomer does not have the sponsor’s email please add their cell number and name to the email. The newcomer will supply their cell number in the body of the email and offer a few times to meet with the administrator to review questions and practice their personal calling script.

TODO:
Failed # and changes process
If a chipmunk encounters people who want to be removed, or the information is incorrect, they will email admin@allandalegroup.org with the correct information, the newcomer will verify the correction before the end of their turn at the traveling chipmunk service work.
Script design for Chipmunks
Each traveling chipmunk is responsible for making the process better for the next chipmunk by reviewing what worked and did not work with the administrator. These postmortems will be listed below.
General notes:
Email, text, and voicemail are not private. Sync services between phones, computers and TVs are normal. Text messages pop up in the middle of live presentations, we have no control over who sees a digital copy. Please do not leave a message or text that are specific to our way of life. You must protect the anonymity of the member. When in doubt – leave it out or make it vague.
